The manager

The manager trades listed equities on the JSE and in global markets. Like most people who have traded for any length of time, he learned that the costly mistakes were rarely about the company. They were about the rules broken in the moment: the stop moved a little further away, the position doubled to make back a loss, the trade taken because waiting felt like doing nothing.

Sedgefield² is his second pass at the Sedgefield framework, rebuilt so that every rule is written down before a trade exists, and enforced before it can be placed. Every position has a stop. Every size is set by what he is prepared to lose. Every trade is reviewed, whatever the outcome.

He works with a small number of people who want the same thing: a calmer, more deliberate way of making decisions in markets.
